Good news from the Bank of Canada today. The Bank will reduce the overnight rate by 0.25%. Prime will drop to 4.45% (previously 4.70%).
At the seventh announcement of 2025, and for the fourth time this year, the Bank of Canada today decided to reduce the overnight rate. Prime will fall to 4.45%.
The next scheduled date for announcing the overnight rate target is Dec 10, 2025.
